About Us

Read Aloud West Virginia motivates children to read for fun.

A nonprofit organization committed to improving literacy in West Virginia, volunteers keep reading material in the hands and on the minds of our state’s children. A habit of reading for pleasure sets students up for success, and will contribute to a healthy, educated workforce, an essential part of building West Virginia’s economy.

We involve families, schools, businesses, health care professionals, civic groups, and all of society to motivate children to WANT to read.
