Become a Read Aloud School

Because research shows that the first step to learning any skill is motivation, we focus on motivating children to read by sharing the joy of reading and giving students access to high interest books and magazines. The best teacher and instructional method will fail if the student isn’t motivated to acquire that skill, which is why Read Aloud works directly with schools to provide services to their students. Any school in the state is eligible to enroll with us for free, qualifying them for the following benefits:

Weekly classroom visits from trained volunteers to model the joy of reading for students.

Free book and magazine distributions.

Parent education materials.

Speakers for parent workshops and faculty in-service meetings.
